Mechanical Engineering

Is a discipline of engineering that applies the principles of engineering, physics, and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools.

FULL TIME AND PART- TIME AVAILABLE

  • Certification

    • Upon successful completion of your required exams for each level, you will be awarded your National Certificate by the Department of Higher Education and Training.
    • In order to qualify for a National Diploma, you have to work 18 months in the field after achieving your N6 certificate.

  • Accreditation Body

    • N1-N3 Accredited by Umalusi
    • N4-N6 Accredited by the Quality Council for Trades
       

  • Entry Requirements

    • N1 – Passed Grade 9
    • N2 – Passed Grade 10
    • N3 – Passed Grade11
    • N4 – Passed Matric or An equivalent NQF level 4
    • N5 – Passed N4
    • N6 – Passed N5

  • Course Duration

    3 months per level
